The most lasting impression I have from Cana’s Feast Winery is of their big, strong Italian wines. They have the kind of wines that still come through strong after a day of wine tasting and a shot palate. I walked away with their 2007 Mountain Cuvee, a mix of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. (Of course my favorite wine in the flight would be the most expensive one. This needs to stop happening.)
They had some amazing roasted almonds to pair with their 2010 Barbera and 2008 Sangiovese, and cheese to pair with their 2008 Nebbiolo that turned it into a party on my palate. I think that their wines in particular would be amazing with some good food to unlock different flavors and round off the edges and tannins.
