Remy Wines is a winery that seems to have taken McMinnville by storm. Her marketing tactics must be amazing, because I’ve heard about this “hip new winery” from at least three of my friends in the industry who want to check it out.
Well, they didn’t really disappoint. The tasting room is basically a decorated garage with barrels and a bench. It’s the essence of indie, urban Portland, brought to the city of McMinnville.
I enjoyed the Three Wives label more than the actual Remy label, surprisingly. Where the Remy label was too heavy for me, even with the cheese and salami plate, the Three Wives were a little softer. She specializes in Italian wines such as Dolcetto, Sangiovese and Barbera.
Check out her wines for yourself Friday to Sunday from noon to approximately 6 p.m. at 905 NE 10th St. McMinnville, OR 97128
