Dance

A poem

I am the dance you cannot learn,

You are the fool who dances anyway.

I am the waves that beat your heart,

You are the statue who erodes away.

I am the figure leaving you,

You are the cripple who tries to chase.

I am the torture you’ve learned to live with,

You are the victim who thinks he is free.

I am the flame that burns in the corner of your eye,

You are the man who tries to catch me.
