What I learned my first year out of college

Sometimes, the people with the best manners are the worst people & the people with the worst manners are the best people.

Travel as much as you can. You have no idea where you’ll be in a year.

Compare all your purchasing decisions against your dream destinations. “Do I get coffee today, or do I put $3 towards my trip to Venice?”

No amount of money is worth staying with a job you hate.

Keep your apartment/house clean.

Being able to cook is an undervalued life skill.

A job you learn from will be one you never take for granted.

Dogs are sometimes (usually) better companions than people.

A good dog will get you through a lot of hard times.

The people make the experience.

Go for lots of walks.

Coffee.

You are who you are today because of your parents, not despite of them.
