Wine Depot creates a wine haven in the midst of busy Manila life. The branch I visited was located in SM Aura, and although I wasn’t a fan of the mall, I enjoyed the atmosphere Wine Depot created within it.
Wine Depot’s “tasting table” features three bottles of wine that are open for tasting daily. Today, they had some hot climate bottles (ie. Chile), but the wines rotate weekly.
On Wednesdays, they have 20% off select wines and wine tasting packages that include wine and appetizers for PHP250. I applaud them for giving #WineWednesdays the spotlight it deserves. Who doesn’t want to drink wine on a Wednesday? Midweek wine is a wonderful idea! (BTW, check out the Wine-All-You-Can at Planet Grapes, which is another exciting #WineWednesday happening)
Wine Depot also hosts monthly wine events, such as wine dinners. This month was a wine dinner featuring Wither Hills of New Zealand, reasonably priced at PHP1,950.
In fact, it seemed as though most of their wines were in an affordable price range. Their prominently displayed new arrival, a Moscato, was only PHP450/bottle. Granted, I didn’t try it and cannot attest for its quality, but that is a great price!
Pay them a visit any day to try a sip of wine, or check them out on a Wednesday to experience their full wine tasting. Below is a list of their branches, as taken from their Facebook page on September 13, 2014.
